Jonathan Shouhed, DDS, was born and raised in Los Angeles and is practicing in the community where he grew up. He graduated in 2009 from the University of California, Los Angeles and earned his dental degree at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. After completing his residency training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the Roseman University of Health Sciences in Henderson, NV, he returned to Los Angeles to improve the smiles of his hometown community.
“Dr. J” as he is known to patients, has always had a passion for youth and has volunteered as a basketball coach as well as a tutor. He decided to focus on orthodontics because he loves enabling kids and teens to feel empowered. He believes a smile is the way we connect to each other as human beings.
At West LA Orthodontics we believe in giving back to the community. We donate a portion of every patient’s payment to support the Friendship Circle of Los Angeles, a local organization that serves families with special needs children.
Dr. J and his team believe age is just a number when it comes to achieving your smile goals! We treat just as many adults as we do kids and teens at West LA Orthodontics. We offer veneers, clear aligners, and braces with customized plans for adults. Your dream smile is one step away!
At West LA Orthodontics, we provide our patients with detailed, comprehensive treatment. At your initial consultation we will take photos, a 3D bite scan and x-rays, as well as a complete diagnosis of any potential bite concerns. During your treatment, we provide scheduled appointments as well as any visits you may need due to an unexpected issue with your braces such as a loose bracket. If you have insurance coverage for orthodontics, we can provide assistance with maximizing your benefits. We can’t wait to see you at our practice!
